Psalms 47:6-7
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King,
sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth:
sing ye praises with understanding.

How often are we singing praises to God?  Four times in these two verses it tells us to sing praises to God.   God thought it was important.

We are to sing praise with understanding.  Understand who God is! He is the King of the universe, all powerful!

Understand who and what you are singing about lest you use God's name lightly and take His name in vain!

 Praise Him, Praise Him

Words: Fanny Crosby,
Music: Chester G. Allen

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long:

Refrain
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Tell of His excellent greatness.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer!
For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died.
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the Crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,
Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer!
Heav’nly portals loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever.
Crown Him! Crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Christ is coming! over the world victorious,
Pow’r and glory unto the Lord belong.

  2. Hello! I just came from your other blog, via the KJV Blog Directory. I'm always looking for other music related blogs, but there don't seem to be many. I see you teach music...do you write music at all? I hope you'll stop by my music blog, Songs Of Faith.

  4. I tried leaving this on your other blog, but like Deb said, its not working correctly. So I thought I'd post it here:

God Bless you! The greatest blessing a missionary can have is the blessing of parents who realize that their children were created to serve the Most High God. Thank you for raising your children for the day when they would serve God, no matter where He may send them. You have no idea what a blessing you can be to them.

  5. Yes, praise Him for He is worthy of all our praise. You have a neat idea for your piano students. I taught piano for a Christian school for a few years and really enjoyed it. Wish I would have had an idea like that.
What is Ladies be joyful? I am on KJV blog also.
